Atomic Snow #56: Bursts of Inspiration
Go with the flow as far as it goes
“Water flowed slowly through the rocks finding its way through a path of least resistance. When it loses its momentum, it begins to pool at that spot. Not enough of a flow to push through. Until rain. Rain fuels the water body giving it the much needed force to keep flowing and carve its way.”
We operates in cycles. It is hard to maintain the same rhythm across a span of time. Our energy waxes and wanes along with our daily routine as we find ourselves in zones of productivity and lethargy. Among these cycles comes the bursts of inspiration.
Those little moments when we have ideas that drive us forward. We begin to connect things and feel a rush of excitement. We get motivated to move forward. To start something new. It is the moment when we feel the urge to act. Everything seems possible in the world.
Many of us just let it slip. Lose these bursts in the busy hubbub of everyday. A few though tap into that energy and drive forward. They feel the surge of possibilities and begin working on it. They build slowly and steadily upon it.
So, it is important to be aware of such moments so that we can tap into the potential. These flashes don’t arrive with warning. They arrive silently, in the calm moments of the day, when showering or taking a walk or waiting at a traffic signal or just before sleep (yes, yes annoying ideas don’t let us get to bed), when the mind begins to drift.
What separates those who create from those who imagine is the readiness to act. So, when you are grabbed by such opportunities, take the spark and channel it. Note it down and start working on it. You will find that as you begin to channel these moments, you become a vessel for more such moments.
Over time, you will find inspiration visit you often because it knows you will notice and make use of it.
Until the next owl delivery,
Bursting with inspiration,
